It's The Climb

Here is a photo diary of my 4 day climb to Machu Pichu. At the risk of repeating myself, I have to mention that it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I am so glad that I did it!!!

Day 1 - Ready to get started!!!

The most spectacular views!!

Flora (and wild life) that I had never seen before.

Our meals were served in style ( so maybe not roughing it that much)

Camping for the night - usually in the clouds or above them!!!

Waking up to similar breathtaking visuals

Day 2 - have to be dressed the part!!!

Day 3 - still smiling - but now it is starting to get cold!!!

Glaciers all around us.

Day 4 - Beware of crossing Llamas

The town of Agua Caliente - so we must be getting close.

Finally we see it from the Sun Gate - the ancient city of MACHU PICHU!!!!

Huyana Pichu

YES!!!! I MADE IT!!!

I was completely awestruck by the splendor and beauty of this ancient city.

  20. Wow, that looks amazing! I love how you chose to do the traditional hike up to Machu Picchu, when I went there in 2010 I did not have mich time and so we took the train/bus up... I like your style, BTW ;)
